A flaw in dyed silk goods caused by the failure of broken filaments to absorb the dye. ————————
MILDEW
A fungoid growth on fabrics, yarns, etc., caused by fermentation set up by moisture and heat. Sized goods are the most troublesome, especially medium or heavy sized. Pure sized cloths are very seldom attacked.
